Meat Loaf
Ingredients:
Minced Meat -500 gms
Minced Meat -500 gms
Fresh Bread crumbs -1 cup
Egg -1
Chopped Onion -1/2 cup
Chopped Carrot -1/2 cup
Garlic, chopped -1 clove
Ginger chopped -1tsp
Tomato sauce -1/2 cup
Steak sauce -2 tbsp
Dried Oregano -1 tsp
Dried Basil -1/2 tsp
Pepper powder - to taste
Salt -to taste
Cooking cheese -1/2 cup
*White sauce
Method:
- Combine all the ingredients except cheese and white sauce in a large bowl, mix well and pack in to a greased loaf pan.
- Spread white sauce over meat evenly and cover with grated cheese.
- Bake in a preheated oven (350 degree F or 180 degree C) for 1 hour.
- Serve loaf with bread rolls or Garlic Bread.
*For White Sauce
Ingredients:Butter -2 tbsp
All purpose flour/ Maida -2 tbsp
Milk -1 cup
Pepper powder -1/2 tsp
Salt - to taste
Method:
- Melt butter in a saucepan, stir in flour and cook, stirring, for 30 seconds.
- Whisk in milk and cook, stirring, over a medium heat for 4-5 minutes or until mixture thickens.
- Turn off flame and add salt and pepper to taste.
Slurp! If you add mashed potatoes on top, it will be UK's Shepherd's pie!:)

ReplyDeleteLooks delicious, i make Meat loaf in a normal pan, never done it in the oven.
I always serve them with mash potato , gravy from the loaf and peas and carrot
meat pie and mashed potatoes sounds yummy!
