Paningil (Meen Mutta) Varuthathu / Deep Fried Fish Roe (Eggs)

A very tasty cocktail snack!

Ingredients:
Fish Egg -250gms
Shallots- 10nos, chopped fine / 1 medium Onion
Ginger-1" piece chopped
Greenchilly-2, chopped fine
Egg-1
All purpose flour/ Maida- 4-6 tbsp
Salt to taste


Method:
  • Wash fish eggs and tear the membrane or sack and scoop out eggs from it.
  • Add chopped shallots, green chilies, ginger, beaten egg, flour and salt to taste.
  • Mix well and drop a tea spoon of mix to medium hot oil and deep fry till golden brown.
  • Serve hot with sauce

Swapna..its amazing...its my all time favorite.. :) in home im d one who steels it frm kitchen..even though im only daughter, wen this dish is der at kitchen, i wl feel someone will come to fight for this..lol..when amma moves for a min, i will run out with this to my room.. :) still amma tells this and tease me... :)

  9. I love meen mutta, mommy drops them in fish curry sometimes or stir-fry them. This totally looks new and great to me. Wish to try this, in near future.
